Today’s motorcycle OEM’s, bound by franchise laws and quarterly reports, force them to cater to their existing customers’ wants, fundamentally stifling innovation.

Unencumbered by a legacy, Damon started with a completely blank slate. We put data-driven thinking at the epicentre of the company and built a cloud-based, motorcycle-centric technology platform. One that can adapt, evolve and even contribute to the many expanding modes of transportation.

In the new paradigm, the joy and simplicity of riding is augmented by technology. It not only expands the reach of our senses but empowers us to avoid accidents altogether. In the new paradigm, every potential threat, every close call, every sudden reaction is a lesson learned and applied across the entire network of Damonized vehicles.

FUSING UNCONVENTIONAL TECHNOLOGIES TO RETHINK SAFETY

Like a modern fighter jet, Damon’s 360º Advanced Warning System for Motorcycles (AWSM) uses embedded radar, cameras and other sensors to track the speed, direction and velocity of up to 64 objects at a time.

Using an onboard neural net, it anticipates accidents and warns the rider, allowing them enough time to take evasive action.

Riders are alerted only when necessary, with a number of multimodal feedback mechanisms: LEDs, vibrating handlebar grips, and a digital rearview mirror fed by the embedded rear-facing camera.

SELF-LEARNING. LIKE ALL ADAPTABLE SPECIES

Every time a rider reacts to a threat warning, Damon's onboard system captures and tags incident details in 360º.

Over 5G, this information is transmitted to Damon's cloud.

Damon's sophisticated AI engine aggregates the tagged data across all Damonized vehicles.

Causational traffic behaviour is re-created in the patented crash simulator to develop and test more advanced algorithms in the simulated traffic environment.

Damon then deploys these updated to it's internal test fleet for extended testing.

This is an iterative develop, test, deploy and feedback loop between the real world and the simulator.

Once perfected, updates are sent to all Damonized vehicles and authorized by each owner before going live on their vehicle.

This way, every Damonized vehicle can detect more threats, faster.

Like any creature, humans face physical limitations in the treacherous terrain we call the modern world. Damon picks up where humans fall short.

Correlating the rider’s position with any adverse situations the rider faces allows us to understand what situation they are confronting, how they are confronting it and most importantly, why. With such aggregate data across multiple riders in multiple situations, Damon will be able to engineer future motorcycling solutions that are more precisely aligned to the constantly changing needs of everyday riders.

With the advent of 5G, this data can be shared with other motorcycles, roadways, AVs and cars.
